Supervisor - Injection Molding

Team Supervision: Assign daily work tasks to operators and material handlers. Monitor performance, provide coaching, and handle disciplinary actions or annual appraisals. Production Management: Review production schedules and work orders to prioritize jobs and meet shift goals. Monitor manufacturing metrics such as press utilization, equipment effectiveness, and scrap rates. Technical Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve machine malfunctions or process failures to minimize downtime. Adjust molding parameters to eliminate product flaws and maintain cycle times. Mold & Equipment Setup: Coordinate or perform mold changeovers, setups, and startups. Ensure all auxiliary equipment (e.g., dryers, conveyors) is operational. Quality Assurance: Inspect molded products to verify they meet customer specifications and quality control reports. Direct corrective actions when defects are identified. Safety & Compliance: Enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies. Training: Conduct or oversee the training of new employees on machine operation, safety procedures, and housekeeping. Shift Hand-offs: Conduct thorough shift turnover meetings and joint walkthroughs with incoming/outgoing supervisors to ensure smooth transitions.
