Overview
Position: Home Inspector
As a Home Inspector with our company, you will play a vital role in assessing the condition of residential properties, guiding homebuyers, sellers, and real estate professionals in making informed decisions about property transactions. Your expertise will ensure safe and sound living environments for clients. This position offers a commission-based salary starting at 40%, with additional benefits after 90 days, including a company-provided vehicle, tools, and equipment, as well as liability and Errors & Omissions (E&O) insurance.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct Comprehensive Inspections: Perform thorough evaluations of residential properties, focusing on structural elements, systems, and components.
Data Collection and Analysis: Gather and analyze data on home conditions to identify potential issues, safety hazards, and compliance with local building codes and regulations.
Quality Assurance: Inspect construction sites to verify that work is completed according to contract requirements.
Effective Communication: Document findings clearly and provide detailed reports outlining necessary repairs or maintenance.
Continuous Learning: Stay informed about industry standards, building codes, and best practices in home inspection.
Required Skills:
Inspection Expertise: Proficiency in quality inspection techniques to evaluate the integrity of residential structures.
Data Collection and Documentation: Strong skills in accurately documenting inspection results and findings.
Construction Knowledge: Experience in construction inspection, with a solid understanding of various building materials and methods.
Site Navigation: Familiarity with construction sites and the ability to navigate them safely.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to assess conditions and recommend effective solutions.
Pipeline Systems Knowledge (Plus): Experience with pipeline systems as they relate to home infrastructure is an added advantage.
Licensing and Other Requirements:
Tennessee Home Inspector License: Required
Kentucky Home Inspector License: Required
Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license required
Pest Control License: Preferred
Drone License: Preferred
Ideal Candidate:
This position is perfect for detail-oriented individuals with strong communication skills and a passion for ensuring safe living environments. Preference will be given to applicants with an existing agent database.
