The Systems Engineer will work directly with the client analyzing complex and unique technical support assignments and lead or collaborate with engineers, cybersecurity personnel, logisticians, and program analysts within a scaled agile environment.\n\nThe Systems Engineer will assist in the creation of hybrid software, web and hardware products from initial specifications to final rollout and maintenance. They will also participate in the integration of network operating systems, application programs and hardware devices through system specification, design, coding, testing and maintenance support. They will consider overall project design including cost, schedule, and social issues that may be associated with a project.\nResponsibilities:\nProvide technical support for engineering development activities.\nTasks include oversight of technical efforts to ensure project objectives are being met in a timely fashion, evaluate proposed designs to ensure technical merit in meeting project requirements. Planning and execution of systems engineering technical processes and technical management processes - including decision analysis, technical planning, technical assessment, requirements management, risk management, configuration management, technical data management, and interface management.\nAssist in the planning and execution of systems engineering technical reviews (SETR) events and tracking the completion of action items. Requires excellent communication skills both oral and written.\nExperience providing Systems Engineering expertise in enterprise level environments.\nExperience with Agile and knowledge of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). Knowledge and understanding of enterprise systems and services technologies to include large scale systems and OS, software and applications, AD, SAN/WAN technologies, Windows Server environments, Server Virtualization, Commercial Cloud Services.\nQualifications:\nA BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline. MA/MS degree preferred.\n4-10 years of professional experience\nExperience with Navy or Marine Corps programs preferred.\nProven ability to work on high visible or mission critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently.\nAbility to manage the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific task.\nIntermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.\nAbility to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, Government personnel, and other stakeholders.\nStrong interpersonal skills, good judgment, and the ability to lead a team or perform independently.\n\nSECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate must favorably pass a Public Trust background investigation. Candidates with an In-Scope DoD security clearance are highly encouraged to apply.
