The Level I Assembler reports to the Production Supervisor. This position focuses on constructing products by assembling parts and subassemblies.\nDuties and Essential Job Responsibilities:\nAbility to glue critical components together following procedures faithfully and repeatably.\nPrepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.\nPositions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.\nAssembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.\nFollow Work Orders\nAssembles products according to approved standard operating procedures (SOPs).\nThe scope of assemblies is generally limited to less complex tools and subassembly components utilized in the manufacture of more complex tools.\nResponsible for meeting or exceeding all established quality standards.\nVerifies specifications by measuring completed components.\nPackage completed assemblies according to approved standard operating procedures (SOPs).\nMaintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.\nConserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.\nDocuments actions by completing production and quality forms\nContributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed\nOperates machines of limited complexity to perform assembly process on the assembly line\nMust be proficient at multiple tasks within a work center\nSkills and Abilities:\nMust be able to multi-task\nStrong safety orientation\nAttention to detail\nExcellent hand-eye coordination\nAbility to read and comprehend blueprints and specifications provided by engineering\nBasic understanding of conventional measuring tools and techniques, to assure compliance with technical specifications\nAbility to braze mechanical components\nAbility to solder electrical components\nRequirements:\nHigh school degree or GED equivalent\nManufacturing experience preferred\nWilling to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and background check\nPhysical Requirements:\nProduction environment: dust, grease, and metal shavings are common. Significant risks from equipment and the environment require constant care and vigilance. Be able to stand for long periods of time and carry up to 30 lbs.
