Ensures effective communication with Radiologist, team members, patients, and customers for those who work in the mobile environment. When required, trains, and orients new technologists, Patient Coordinators and/or MR Technologist Assistants.\n\nSpecific duties include, but are not limited to:\nResponsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic injection technique and may require remote MR Technologists Assistant oversite.\nProduces high quality diagnostic images. Operation of multiple MR systems may be required.\nDemonstrates the ability to use all channels of communications to address concerns, solve problems, and address conflict.\nEffectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.\nTrains and orients new technologists, patient coordinators and MR Technologist Assistants, on site and/or remote.\nOther duties as assigned.\nPosition Requirements:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent experience\nRegistered Technologist by the ARRT, NMTCB or ARMDS\nTechnologists with MR Technologist Assistant oversight must be MR registered. ARMRIT certification accepted as allowable by customer contract. If Akumin is billing Medicare, registry in Magnetic Resonance is Required.\nMR registered technologist R.T. (MR) ARRT or ARMRIT\nTechnologist registered in other modalities\n3 months supervised MRI clinical scanning experience OR currently enrolled for more than 6 months in an accredited MRI training program\nState license\nLicensed Radiologic Technologist or Magnetic Resonance Technologist, if applicable\nCPR Certification\nBLS upon hire, ACLS within 90 days of employment, if applicable\nTechnologists performing mid-day moves\nActive State Driver’s License, required\nThe COVID-19 vaccination is/may be a condition of employment.\nAll candidates who accept an offer for employment will be required to successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screen as a condition of employment.\nLocal travel may be required.\nPreferred:\nAssociate’s Degree or equivalent experience\n1 year of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Experience\nRegistry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT\nNote: Required Certificates, Licenses & Registrations are verified at the time of hire for all roles. The employee will be exposed to a strong magnetic field.
