Eligible applicant(s) must be able to work safely in a surface mine environment while performing duties of this position. This person(s) must be capable of producing quality work with attention to detail and completing the job "right the first time".Experience LevelIntermediatePrimary Responsibilities and DutiesWork independently or with industry specialist to troubleshoot/diagnose problems with production machinerySet-up, run, troubleshoot, and tear down mining machineryExperience with diesel engines, hydraulic, pneumatic and 24V electrical systemsTroubleshoot machinery during production timesCommunicate machine issues to production management when necessaryWork with equipment operators to ensure machines are running safely and properlyPerform required re-fueling and lubrication task.Perform other duties as required.Ability to perform work in a safe manner, while following best practices and in accordance with company policiesQualificationsMay require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in a related field.5+ years of direct Heavy Equipment Mechanic experience with familiarity of the following equipment: 6030 front shovels, D9 and D10 dozers, 992 wheel loaders, 395 Excavators and 777 haul trucks.Ability to understand, follow, and communicate written and oral instructions with management or supervision.Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safe and efficientlyRequirementsAble to meet all physical requirementAble to work outdoor in all weather conditionsAble to climb, work at heights, and in confined spacesAbility to work rotating 12-Hour shifts on a 2 week on / 2week off schedule; including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing, fit for duty medical and backgroundcheckEqual Opportunity Employer, including disability and protected veteran status.
