This is an exceptional opportunity for a skilled experienced engineer to join a highly talented muti-disciplinary team and contribute to cutting-edge technological advancements to an impactful program.\nJob Duties:\nAs a Structural Engineer at Nightwing, you will join a multidisciplinary team engaged in research and development and mission support. The core of this role centers on performing structural analyses and generating detailed designs, collaborating closely with civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering professionals to produce effective solutions. This position requires working with a range of materials, including composites, coordinating and executing materials testing, utilizing fundamental understanding of geotechnical engineering, and leveraging expertise in design codes and construction practices. Supporting project managers and team leads in coordinating internal and external resources and fostering customer relationships through effective communication are essential aspects. We empower our engineers to take ownership of their projects, encourage innovative thinking, cultivate an environment that rewards initiative, and value the drive to find solutions. You will foster innovation by researching and proposing enhancements to our structural design methodologies and take ownership of continuous improvement efforts. This position will provide support across various tasks, with opportunities for advancement into task leadership.\nRequired Qualifications:\nCandidate must possess an active TS/SCI CI POLY\nBachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical engineering or related discipline.\nMinimum of four (4) years of professional engineering experience.\nStrong background in structural analysis, design codes, materials testing, and construction practices.\nExperience with common structural design and analysis software such as RAM and IDEA StatiCA .\nStrong understanding of structural engineering principles and practices.\nBasic knowledge of soil mechanics tests and geotechnical engineering principles.\nExcellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary, collaborative team environment balancing often widely different project tasks and types.\nIndependently seek opportunities to improve existing processes and contribute to project efficiency.\nDemonstrated ability to take initiative in identifying and resolving complex engineering challenges, with a proactive and results-oriented approach.\nAbility to deliver timely solutions for tight project deadlines.\nAbility to perform physical tasks as required for benchtop and representative environment evaluations.
