Outreach is hiring a Full-time Elementary Gym Teacher at Outreach Carol Stream to support students in structured play. Schedule Staff Training – June 1 to June 5 (MANDATORY) Program Dates – June 8 to July 31 Program Schedule – Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Responsibilities The Elementary Gym Teacher will supervise students in grades 1 - 5 in structured play in the morning sessions of the summer day camp program. The Elementary Gym Teacher will plan and facilitate activities and supervise up to 18 students during class. The Elementary Gym Teacher will function as a program aide in the afternoon. Requirements: High School Diploma or a Bachelor's Degree. A passion for working with elementary-age students. Previous recreation or gym leader experience with elementary school students is required. Experience with and sensitivity to the needs of students from low-income, high-risk families. Bilingual (Spanish/ English) is a plus. A commitment to Outreach's Statement of Mission & Faith.
