Sr. Financial Analyst
Position SummaryThe Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for providing advanced financial analysis, forecasting, and performance reporting to support informed decision-making across the organization. This role partners closely with Finance leadership and cross-functional teams to drive budget discipline, margin performance, and financial transparency.Operating in a contract-driven and regulated environment, the Senior Financial Analyst supports forecasting accuracy, cost control initiatives, and financial risk identification while ensuring alignment with enterprise financial policies and reporting standards.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning & ForecastingLead development of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial plans.Build and maintain financial models to support operational and strategic initiatives.Analyze revenue, margin, labor, and overhead performance to identify trends and risks.Provide variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.Program & Operational Finance SupportPartner with program and operations leadership to monitor financial performance of contracts and projects.Support pricing analysis, cost modeling, and proposal financial inputs.Track contract performance, including revenue recognition and cost-to-complete analysis.Assist with financial evaluation of change orders and scope modifications.Reporting & Performance AnalysisPrepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages.Develop dashboards and KPIs to monitor business performance.Support executive presentations with clear, concise financial analysis.Identify operational inefficiencies and margin improvement opportunities.Compliance & Internal ControlsEnsure adherence to accounting standards and enterprise financial policies.Support audit processes and documentation requirements.Maintain data integrity within financial systems and reporting tools.Assist in monitoring compliance with contractual and regulatory financial requirements.Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Contracts, HR, and Business Development to align financial insights with business activities.Support capital planning, investment analysis, and cash flow management initiatives.Provide ad hoc financial analysis as requested by leadership.QualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field requiredMBA, CPA, or CFA preferredExperience3-7+ years of progressive financial analysis experienceDemonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelingExperience in contract-driven or regulated environments preferredExperience supporting program or operational finance strongly preferred
