The program develops technical expertise, lean thinking, and leadership skills through in‑person and online training and on‑the‑job experience with Technical Field Advisors.\n\nUpon completion of the FEP you will qualify for a Technical Field Advisor position focused on Controls, managing controls activities during installation, commissioning, and maintenance of heavy‑duty turbines and equipment.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nMaintain a strong safety mindset, ensuring work meets technical and GE safety standards.\n\nActively manage controls activities on site during installation, commissioning, and maintenance of heavy‑duty equipment, PLCs, and GE‑provided control systems (MKVIe, MKVI, MKV, etc.).\n\nRead and interpret piping and instrument diagrams (P&ID).\n\nProvide timely and accurate internal and external reports.\n\nOffer expert consultation on complex projects.\n\nProvide technical direction and support on OEM packaged products.\n\nSpecial Role Requirements\n\nAbility to travel extensively to projects and field assignments.\n\nWillingness to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required.\n\nAbility to spend considerable time away from home for training and field assignments.\n\nSkills and Qualifications\n\nFluent in English with strong technical competence and passion for engineering.\n\nStrong ownership and work ethic.\n\nDesire to learn and solve problems.\n\nPositive can‑do attitude with clear communication to internal and external customers.\n\nFormal education: Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering preferred but total experience and achievements are primary.\n\nBenefits\nOur total rewards package encourages mental, physical, and financial well‑being, and offers career growth opportunities within a supportive culture.\n\nInclusion & Diversity\nWe are passionate about creating an inclusive work environment and value diversity.
