Under the direction of Packaging Department management team, this position is responsible for assisting with the daily Repackaging operations as detailed below. The incumbent will report directly to the Repackaging Shift Supervisor.\nThe hours for this position are from 8am – 4pm from Monday – Friday and, as a condition of employment, require mandatory availability for each shift.\n\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nFollow all safety procedures and adhere to all company policies and procedures, including the safe operation of equipment.\nAs directed, maintain a safe, clean work environment that includes general housekeeping and warehouse duties.\nDemonstrated ability to identify all Emergency Stops on all equipment within work areas.\nAssist Machine Operators in feeding repack materials into appropriate machinery.\nMonitor finished goods for mis-labeling and possible mixing of products.\nAs directed, move finished products and materials from the Packaging Department and Production work areas utilizing hand trucks, pallets jacks and powered industrial trucks.\nPerform loading and unloading of bottling and canning raw materials and finished goods from applicable conveyor belts.\nAs directed, stack finished goods onto pallets in a pre-defined stacking pattern in designated areas.\nStrap pallets of finished goods and of raw materials in accordance with company safety standards.\nAs directed, hand label bottles and packaged goods with appropriate date stamps.\nAs directed, utilize various chemicals to clean machinery in department in adherence with safety standards and company standard operating procedures.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nCompetencies:\nTo perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position:\nProblem Solving - the individual identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully.\nQuality Control - the individual demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, monitors own work to ensure quality and applies feedback to improve performance.\nQuantity - meets productivity standards and completes work in a timely manner.\nAdaptability - the individual adapts to work environment changes, manages competing demands and can deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.\nDependability - the individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance.\nSafety & Security - the individual observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly.\nKnowledge & Skills Requirements:\nThe ideal candidate would have prior work experience in either manufacturing, warehousing, or distribution.
