The Estimator will prepare accurate, competitive, and timely estimates of project costs and schedules. The ideal candidate is experienced in construction estimating and has a proven track record of providing exceptional subject matter expertise.\nEssential Duties/Responsibilities:\nPrepares estimates for assigned project(s) and review proposal specifications, and drawings as a subject matter expert\nGathers subcontractor proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documentation.\nPrepares bids by analyzing all costs related to the project\nWorks effectively with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to gather information, prepare proposals and recommendations, and negotiate as needed\nPerforms comprehensive reviews of project plans, specifications, geotechnical reports, permits, etc.\nConducts accurate takeoffs\nReviews proposal specifications, drawings, attends pre-bid meetings, and other meetings as necessary to determine the scope of work and required contents of estimates\nAnalyzes bid abstracts to improve company performance and effectively impact future projects\nMaintains records and databases with cost information and other related data\nUtilize software to put bids and change orders together and send to clients\nAssist with pre-construction tasks\nOther duties as assigned\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree preferred in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or relevant field experience not required\nAt least 3 years professional experience estimating for a Commercial GC\nValid driver's license and clean driving record.\nRequired Skills and Abilities:\nAbility to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously\nLeads by example with strong ethics\nEffectively works under tight deadlines\nAbility to recognize and recommend alternatives and solutions with support cost-effectiveness\nStrong negotiation skills\nStrong computer skills, including MS Office, Excel, Word, MS Projects, Blue beam,\nExcellent, clear, and concise verbal and written communication skills\nAbility to work collaboratively and professionally with staff and clients\nJob Type: Full-time exempt (not eligible for overtime in compliance with federal, state, or local compliance regulations)\nPay: $75,000-$120,000 per year (The base compensation range represents the low and high end of the compensation range for this position.
