The Broadcast Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing broadcast systems, production equipment, transmission paths, and newsroom technology to ensure reliable, high-quality content delivery across multiple platforms.\n\nThis role requires a proactive problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven news and entertainment environment.\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES\n\nMaintain and support broadcast, production, and post-production systems.\n\nMonitor and troubleshoot video, audio, routing, and transmission.\n\nPerform preventative maintenance and system upgrades on broadcast equipment.\n\nSupport live studio productions, remote broadcasts, and special event coverage.\n\nStudio camera maintenance – chipping, shading, menu settings, time-code, reference, signal flow.\n\nPost production engineering support as needed – troubleshooting workstations, storage, export, etc.\n\nProduction responsibilities may be assigned according to workload – feeds, recording, camera operation, audio.\n\nConfigure and maintain video servers, storage systems, automation systems, and asset management platforms.\n\nDiagnose and resolve technical issues affecting on-air operations and digital content distribution.\n\nCollaborate with production, newsroom, and IT teams to ensure seamless workflows.\n\nAssist with equipment installations, integrations, and technology refresh projects.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\n\n10+ years of experience supporting broadcast television or live production environments.\n\nStrong understanding of Video routing and signal flow, Audio systems and mixing infrastructure, DI, IP video transport, SMPTE standards, Broadcast automation systems, Video servers and storage systems, Transmission and distribution technologies.\n\nCandidate must be a self-starter and highly organized.\n\nAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.\n\nExperience supporting news or entertainment television operations.\n\nEQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER\nWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
