Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and/or visual factory. Operates automated industrial production and processing machinery in a safe and efficient manner. This position works under moderate supervision. This role provides the opportunity to work within the Network Solutions Business Unit of Leviton Manufacturing Company Inc.\nResponsibilities:\nOperates automation machinery at or above the engineering standard without compromising quality requirements\nWatches gauges, dials, HMI panels or other indicators to verify equipment is operating within defined parameters and operational standards without compromising quality requirements\nMeasures product or component dimensions\nInteracts with engineering and production support staff regarding equipment or process issues\nQualifications/Skills:\nAbility to access, read, and apply information from all pertinent shop floor paperwork\nAbility to set-up, start-up, operate, shutdown, and reset assigned machines in an efficient and timely manner\nAbility to conduct all associated quality checks and differentiate between conforming and non-conforming material\nProductivity levels are within established standards\nAbility to communicate and interact with support personnel from engineering and/or quality to resolve issues related to products, production equipment and/or assembly processes\nConsistently works in a safe manner\nAbility to identify opportunities for improvement\n\nPhysical Demands\nThis position requires 20% clerical and planning and 80% machine operations, some production assembly, and/or walking and assisting production employee\nWork is primarily performed on the manufacturing floor where noise levels may be moderate or high and hearing protection may have to be worn\nEye and foot protection may have to be work\nLifting of weights up to 30 pounds may occur regularly, with a potential for lifting weights of up to 45 pounds on an occasional basis\nThere is potential exposure to extreme temperatures\nThe occasional physical demands of the position include climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and eye/hand/foot coordination\nMay stand or sit for prolonged periods of time\n\nEducation & Experience:\nHigh School education or GED preferred\nMinimum one year experience working in a production environment\nPrevious automated manufacturing machinery experience preferred\nPrevious experience inspecting for quality preferred\n\n**This is designated as a Safety Sensitive position**\nWhat We Offer:\nComprehensive benefits include:\nMedical (with an HSA option), Dental, Vision and Rx coverage beginning the 1st day of the month following your start date\n401(k) Program with employer matching contributions.
