The RealCold platform operates a national, omni-channel network, inclusive of traditional storage offerings, as well as comprehensive direct-to-consumer programs, which can reach the majority of U.S. consumers within 1- or 2-day ground service.\nThe Role:\nUnder general supervision, the Forklift Operator will ensure safe and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of food products utilizing equipment including, but not limited to, sit down and stand-up forklifts, high-reach forklifts, and pallet jacks. The forklift operator is responsible for the safe and efficient handling, storage, and distribution of goods within a warehouse facility. The incumbent must interface well with other team members to create a positive work environment and healthy team culture.\nEssential Functions and Key Responsibilities:\nResponsible for promoting a Safety Culture throughout the Facility, working safe is always the #1 priority; clean as you go to ensure everyone is working in a safe environment. Follow all safety rules & regulations at all times and be a conduit of safety to yourself and others.\nMove products & packages throughout the warehouse utilizing appropriate equipment.\nConduct equipment checks prior to the start of the shift. Notify management as appropriate of any issues or safety concerns.\nLoad & Unload materials & merchandise from trucks & place them in the appropriate location within the warehouse for storage.\nNotify supervision regarding any deficiencies in quality, customer shortages or damaged product.\nStaging pallets as needed for shipment.\nKeep updated records of inventory and activity logs.\nOther duties as assigned.\nRequirements of the Position:\nMinimum 1 year of experience in a warehouse or related role.\nExperience in a cold storage facility a plus.\nProficient in operating warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, high reach, and pallet jacks.\nForklift Certification (pallet jack or high reach) preferred with the ability to attain one upon hire.\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent.\nMust be 18 years or older.\nMust have a valid US drivers license.\nMust read, write, speak and understand English.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nThe ability to work in a team environment geared towards the common goals of shipping product/customer orders on time and in a safe manner.\nInteract in a professional, friendly and respectful manner.\nExcellent attention to detail.\nPositive attitude and strong desire to succeed.\nGreat work ethic.\nAbility to listen and take direction agreeably.\nBe on time to work and reliable.\nWork Requirements:\nMust be able to pass a background check.\nMust be flexible and be able to work overtime.\nMust be willing to work weekends and evenings.\nAbility to work well under pressure.\nDress code is relaxed with a few rules to follow for safety; comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required.\nWork Environment:\nWorks in a cold storage facility with exposure to low to below zero temperatures. This job may involve occasional exposure to some disagreeable elements such as dust, noise, etc. Accidents are improbable other than minor injuries. Environment may be fast paced at times. You will be working around moving machines, order pickers and forklifts.\nPhysical Demands:\nThis is not an all-inclusive list, but it is intended to give an overview physical requirement for this position.
