Under general supervision, the Project Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing the scope, estimate, and schedule of assigned projects. Assigned projects will include primarily capital investments including asset replacements, maintenance, customer growth, Smart Grid, renewable energy integration, and general operations.\nMain Responsibilities:\nCreate scope of work documents, cost estimates, and schedules for assigned projects engaging engineering and other SME's as required.\n\nBuild the project business case using reliability, integrated system planning, and other inputs.\n\nProvide bid specifications to Supply Chain in accordance with the procurement process.\n\nCompile detailed work plans for the Project Management Organization, Engineering, and Operations teams to execute.\n\nUtilize Management of Change and Asset Governance processes for controlling the modification of equipment, systems, and processes.\n\nServe as a representative of the Company as assigned\n\nQualifications:\nFour year college degree in engineering, construction management, finance, or related field. Applicable experience in place of a degree will be considered\n\nAdditional certifications including: Professional Engineering License, or Project Management Professional Certification are a plus.\n\nExperience - 0-5 years in capital project and/or portfolio management\n\nStrong computer skills including Microsoft Office 365 tools required. Experience with SAP and Copperleaf C55 are a plus.\n\nDemonstrated project management experience in leading projects through the development process including building scope, estimate, and schedule documents.\n\nGeneral understanding of the regulated T&D utility business, assets, and systems. Experience with Smart Grid, DER integration, and other trends changing the industry are a plus.\n\nDemonstrated ability to achieve results and operate with minimal supervision.\n\nStrong communicator both oral and written. Experience in making presentations to upper management is a plus.\n\nAbility to manage and work multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.\n\nLanguages - English.
