CNC Machinist, 4 day work week
CNC Machinist (Programmer/Operator)
Salary: $28-$35/hr DOE
Schedule: Mon-Thurs: 6a-4:30p
Setup CNC production, maintain equipment and modify programs as needed
Essential Job Functions:
Manufacture prototype products & fixtures
Manufacture new products & fixtures for production
Maintain & repair current production equipment, tooling & fixtures
Update current production tooling & methods as needed
Track time and materials needed to perform individual jobs
Maintain tooling inventory
Setup and operation of CNC vertical milling machines & lathes using proper tooling components, tool setter, gage blocks, micrometers and other measuring tools
Modify numerical control programs for machining tooling & parts
Possess a strong knowledge of various machine program & diagnostic codes
Proficiently interpret and use complicated prints (including multiple views and 3-dimensional detail), specifications and sketches
Selects proper cutting tools, attachments, fixtures, feeds, speeds, coolant, lubricant as appropriate based on material and part configuration.
Proficient in shop mathematics in order to: calculate tool offsets, home positions, and verify print dimensions.
Work independently as well as in a team atmosphere with minimal supervision
Possess ability to run multiple pieces of equipment at the same time
Uses judgment based on practice and precedence with minimal supervision.
Selects appropriate alternative sources of information and utilizes them to evaluate situations, with supervision.
Ability to utilize SOLIDWORKS to create models, assemblies and drawings
Experience utilizing CAMWorks to program Y-axis lathes and 4th axis mills
Experience designing machining fixtures
Experience with HAAS CNC milling machines and turning centers
Experience with machine maintenance and repair
U Utilize hand and finger dexterity.
Lifting, bending, sitting, standing as required by assigned task
General Safety Guidelines and other guidelines are required by assigned task
Required Experience: 1- 3 years for entry level, 7 years+ for experienced
Required Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent work experience.
