The developer will build, enhance, and maintain secure enterprise applications supporting mission-critical immigration and benefits-processing systems.\n\nDevelop and maintain Java-based enterprise applications.\nBuild backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.\nDevelop user interfaces using JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks such as React or Angular.\nSupport legacy-system modernization and cloud-based application development.\nWrite and maintain automated unit and integration tests.\nParticipate in Agile development activities, code reviews, and technical-design discussions.\nSupport CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.\nTroubleshoot application and production issues.\nCollaborate with government personnel and other technical teams.\n\nRequirements (Years of experience, Education, Certifications):\n\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.\nFive or more years of software development experience.\nStrong experience with Java, Spring, or Spring Boot.\nExperience developing RESTful APIs and microservices.\nExperience with React, Angular, or another modern front-end framework.\nExperience with SQL and relational databases.\nFamiliarity with automated testing, Git, Agile, and CI/CD practices.\nStrong communication and problem-solving skills.\nS. citizenship and ability to meet USCIS suitability requirements.\n\nNice to Have (skills that are not required, but nice to have):\n\nPrevious USCIS, DHS, or federal government experience.\nExperience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.\nExperience modernizing legacy enterprise applications.\nFamiliarity with USCIS systems such as ELIS, Global, CLAIMS3, or Benefits Hub.\n\nThis is a full-time position paying a base salary, full benefits, and has possible bonus potential based on merit and performance.
