Make a positive impact in the community while demonstrating Cascade PBS's values of integrity, community, innovation and diversity.Rate of Pay: $21.96-$22.50 per hourHours: Monday - Friday 11am - 5pmLocation: Seattle, WACascade PBS offers competitive benefits to team members working 20 hours or more a week.Benefits include :11 paid holidays1 personal holiday12 days of vacation to start10 days of sickHalf-day Fridays during SummerCompany-matched 401(k) Retirement Plan that is fully-vested immediatelyEmployer paid ORCA cardEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)MedicalDentalVisionKEY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIESOpen and secure Cascade PBS lobby area and keeps the area orderly and free of clutterGreet and direct station guests and visitorsHandle and route internal and external calls and paging on a multi-line phone systemRefer questions and requests for information to the appropriate departments (e.g. Programming, Customer Service, Engineering, Accounting)Accept and monitor incoming and outgoing courier deliveries including UPS and FedExAssign, distribute and collect ID badges for vendors and guests, as well as tracking temporary use badgesMaintain confidentiality as appropriateWork closely with other Receptionists to assist team members with parking inquiries and issues as they arise via Cascade PBS's parking appUpdate and maintain Reception page on Cascade PBS internal intranetProcess and prepare outgoing mailOpen, sort, mark as received, and distribute daily incoming mail to internal mailboxesInform recipients of incoming packages and maintain staff mailboxesMonitor station vehicle calendarsInventory, order, and maintain Admin. event closet, lunchroom and general office suppliesEmpty dishwasher each morningUpdate and distribute Cascade PBS Phone ListWork closely with on-call to provide training and updates of new protocols, practices, and equipmentTrain supplemental staff and other temporary front desk personnelStaff reception desk during special events as assignedCollaborate with other team members to foster a positive and productive culture and contribute toward the overall growth of Cascade PBS.Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without noticeREQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIESExcellent interpersonal communication skills appropriately tailored to different recipients requiredCommitted to working with and supporting diverse guests and visitorsProficient in MS Outlook, working knowledge of MS Office software, commitment to on-going technical skill development as relates to PositionAbility to handle multiple tasks with a positive and professional mannerEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEHigh School diploma or equivalent requiredOne year of receptionist and/or customer service experience requiredOne year of experience with multi-line telephone system strongly preferredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSModerate to heavy physical tasks up to lifting 55 pounds unassisted requiredLifting, stretching, climbing steps, bending and moving office equipment requiredAbility to sit and type for long periods of timeAbility to view data on a computer screen for long periods of timeAbility to work some evenings, weekends, holidays and on-call shifts as neededThe hiring process for this role will include a phone screen and a virtual or in-person panel interview.
