In this dynamic seller/doer role, you'll guide high‐impact transportation projects from concept to completion-enhancing mobility, strengthening safety, and supporting the infrastructure that keeps communities moving forward.What You'll Do:Lead proposal development and create clear scopes, schedules, and budgets in coordination with transportation technical teamsServe as the primary client partner, addressing needs proactively and ensuring strong communication throughout each projectDevelop project Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and direct task coordination across multidisciplinary project teamsManage project schedules, deliverables, approvals, and quality controls to keep work on track and aligned with contract requirementsOversee project financials-including budgets, forecasts, revenue, and cash flow-maintaining strong financial performanceDirect contract administration, subcontractor coordination, and critical project documentationLead regular project meetings and provide timely progress updates to clients and internal stakeholdersSupport marketing efforts, help identify new opportunities, and contribute to the growth of CHA's Highway & Rail portfolioWhat You Bring:Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field requiredMinimum of 9 years of industry experience required; minimum of 6 years of project management experience requiredProven ability to manage client relationships and interpret client contract requirementsDemonstrated experience preparing proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations, and project closeout documents requiredExperience managing project accounting processes-including forecasting, budgeting, revenue, and cash flow-requiredAbility to work in a team environment, solve problems independently, and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt style for various audiencesExperience with Microsoft Office required; knowledge of MS Project, Primavera P6, and/or Deltek Vision preferredPMP certification, Indiana PE, or equivalent professional license preferredConsulting industry experience highly preferredAbility to travel as needed requiredWhy You'll Love It Here:Lead innovative highway and rail projects that make a visible, lasting impact on mobility, safety, and sustainabilityWork alongside passionate engineers, planners, and technical specialists who drive excellence in every phase of deliveryEnjoy a collaborative, growth‐focused culture where your ideas, expertise, and professional development are valuedCurious about the impactful work our Highway & Rail team is doing?
