This position requires the level of knowledge and skills necessary to diagnose and repair commercial vehicles and equipment. This individual must have the ability to effectively work and communicate with employees and customers. Manages daily technician scheduling and operations while ensuring efficient workflow and resource allocation. As a Lead Technician/ Technician in Charge, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our assets.\r\nCompetitive compensation\r\n\r\nCompetitive compensation package of $ 34.00 - 42.50/ hour\r\n\r\nBenefits include\r\n\r\n\r\nVacation: minimum of two (2) weeks\r\n\r\n\r\nSick days: 5 days\r\n\r\n\r\nHolidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating\r\n\r\n\r\nOther standard benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary long-term disability.\r\n\r\n\r\nCompany paid ASE testing and training materials\r\n\r\n\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\n\r\n\r\nDiagnose and accurately perform all phases of vehicle repairs.\r\n\r\n\r\nRemove, clean, repair, reinstall, and adjust vehicle components.\r\n\r\n\r\nEngine repair and diagnosis\r\n\r\n\r\nEngine emission components (State certification)\r\n\r\n\r\nDriveline components\r\n\r\n\r\nElectrical/ electronic components\r\n\r\n\r\nBrakes/ suspension/ steering/ exhaust\r\n\r\n\r\nCab/ chassis\r\n\r\n\r\nHydraulics\r\n\r\n\r\nVarious Scan tool proficient\r\n\r\n\r\nEnsure work orders are properly completed.\r\n\r\n\r\nSelect appropriate course of action for repairs.\r\n\r\n\r\nEvaluate completed work prior to release.\r\n\r\n\r\nEnsure safe use of power and hand-held tools.\r\n\r\n\r\nPerform road calls and emergency services, as necessary.\r\n\r\n\r\nMove vehicles safely between job and work area.\r\n\r\n\r\nCommunicate professionally with customers, team members and supervisors.\r\n\r\n\r\nActively participate in safety or educational training as required.\r\n\r\n\r\nContinuous ASE/ EVT re-certification is required to remain in job classification.\r\n\r\n\r\nCoordinate and prioritize the workload of the diesel technician team, assigning tasks and ensuring all work is completed in a timely manner\r\n\r\n\r\nUtilize advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues in diesel vehicles and equipment\r\n\r\n\r\nCoach and monitor members of the work team\r\n\r\n\r\nOther duties as required\r\n\r\n\r\nQualifications\r\n\r\n\r\nMinimum of 5 years of experience as a diesel technician, with demonstrated proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and related systems\r\n\r\n\r\nStrong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team\r\n\r\n\r\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and accuracy\r\n\r\n\r\nMust be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed\r\n\r\n\r\nSubject to DOT drug testing and physical examination if applicable.
