You will assist in more complex tasks under the supervision of skilled tradespeople and contribute to various construction projects. These projects will start in October.\n\nESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:\nPerform construction tasks such as racking and panel assembly, hand digging trenches, backfilling and material organization.\nAssist journeyworker tradespeople such as laborers, masons, and equipment operators.\nSupport concrete work, including setting forms, pouring, and finishing.\nOperate basic construction equipment such as compactors and jackhammers.\nHelp install and remove temporary structures, such as barricades and fencing.\nConduct site clean-up and material organization.\nFollow all safety guidelines and ensure a clean and safe work environment.\nReceive and retain training and direction from your Foreman or Journeyworker.\nFollow directions and complete tasks assigned in a timely manner. Communicate any delays.\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nAll employees must demonstrate the ability to promote and embody the Premise Core Values: Be Ready to Learn, Own the Result, Build Trust, Do the Right Thing, and Drive to Complete.\nIn addition to the above, other required qualifications for this role are:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nCompletion of Civil Technician 1 / Construction Craft Labor Apprentice 1 or equivalent experience.\nAbility to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.\nAbility to read and interpret basic construction plans and drawings.\nStrong work ethic and willingness to learn.\nFamiliarity of construction tools and equipment.\nPhysical stamina and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.\nAbility to adhere to safety standards and practices.\nTravel overnight to remote job sites up to 60-80% of the time.\nOTHER REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:\nQuick Learner - Learns quickly when faced with new opportunities or situations. Enjoys the challenge of unfamiliar tasks. Quickly grasps the essence and the underlying structure of issues as presented and experiments as needed to find solutions.\nActing with Integrity and Trust - Is widely trusted and seen as a direct, truthful individual. Can present the truth in an appropriate and helpful manner. Keeps confidences. Admits mistakes. Doesn’t misrepresent him/herself for personal gain. Works to deploy strengths.\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, lift, squat, push, pull, climb stairs, ladders, hear, see, reach, grasp and use hands and fingers to operate a telephone, power tools, and equipment. The employee must have the ability to occasionally lift more than 50 lbs.\n\nWORKING ENVIRONMENT:\nWhile performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is exposed to extreme weather conditions, including heat and cold, and wet or humid. The employee may work in high places, and/or work around moving mechanical parts, vehicles, and other equipment. The employee may also work in areas where the noise volume is loud and constant.
