Events DC is seeking a seasoned dynamic, strategic, creative and media savvy Brand Consultant to join its Creative Services Division. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Creative Services, this position plays a pivotal role in shaping, elevating, and expanding the Events DC brand through innovative marketing, compelling storytelling, and strategic media engagement on a local, national, and global scale. The Brand Consultant will work cross-functionally with internal teams, including Communications to develop and craft compelling narratives that support Events DC’s high-profile projects, partnerships, events and global initiatives. The ideal candidate excels in a fast-paced, event-driven environment, and brings a forward-thinking strategic mindset to brand positioning, media relations, and content development RESPONSIBILITIES: Partner with the SVP of Creative Services and Communications team to identify, craft, and pitch compelling stories to media outlets. Drive and execute integrated marketing, brand strategies and strategic storytelling that amplify Events DC’s initiatives, sponsorships, partnerships, and signature programs. Monitor, evaluate and support content development efforts, including branded video production, ensuring consistent branding and visual identity across platforms. Collaborate across internal divisions, creative services, sports and entertainment, conventions and meetings to ensure unified messaging and cohesive branding in all public-facing materials. Provide strategic input and execution support for media kits, press releases, feature story development, and public relations campaigns. Spearhead development of specialized social media advertising and strategy Monitor and report on brand performance, including media placements, audience reach, engagement metrics, and campaign ROI. Coordinate and track delivery, trust and verify follow up on video and social media content Represent the Creative Services Division in cross-divisional and internal planning meetings and during project execution phases. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in brand strategy, marketing communications, or public relations. Proven success in leading brand development across multiple business sectors. Demonstrated expertise in storytelling and pitching to media outlets. Experience in storytelling for brand-building, within events, entertainment, or public sector industries. Strong understanding of video content strategy and production cycles, social media content, analytics and platform management, and YouTube platform development. Excellent writing, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills. A proactive, team-oriented approach with the ability to foster an environment of collaboration, work across multiple disciplines and manage multiple projects simultaneously as well as diverse stakeholders. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, multifaceted organization, navigating cross-functional priorities while driving brand consistency and creative excellence. Experience in Tourism, Hospitality, Conventions, Meetings, Sports, Entertainment or equivalent business.
