Healthcare Revenue Cycle Senior Manager
Job Summary:The Healthcare Revenue Cycle Senior Manager provides clients with senior-level healthcare consulting services by assessing the client’s business needs, recommending and implementing solutions, and managing BDO and client staff in this process. Position reflects significant industry experience in a hospital or practice setting commensurate with a senior leadership role.Job Duties:Develops central patient access and revenue cycle functions on a project basis similar toSingle business office for professional and hospital servicesCentral patient access unit for registration and schedulingStandardized policies and proceduresAssesses revenue cyclesThoroughly reviews front and backend operationsAnalyzes and redesigns workflowConducts performance metrics and benchmarkingAnalyzes report functions and results thereofReviews revenue cycle systems, including third party solutionsReviews charge capture (manual and EHR) and reconciliation processesIdentifies and prioritizes opportunities for improvementExamines and provides recommendations for staffing size, structure & benchmarkingActs as Charge Data Master, overseeing projects to include:Physician EducationCoding and compliance auditsEHR form/template assessmentCode scrubber technologiesCDM Assessment and MaintenanceManages interim revenue cycle for clients, as needed in similar capacity toExecutive leadershipSupervisorsThird-party contracting and settlement negotiationsVendor selection for outsourced billing managementSupervises the day-to-day workload on assigned engagements and reviews work productUp-sells after initial engagement, as relevantTravels 50% or more of the time to client sitesOther duties as requiredSupervisory Responsibilities:Provides leadership and takes ownership of large projects from start to finish to ensure client satisfaction and to meet the project goals and objectivesCommunicates with BDO senior leadership and client management to meet budget and target datesQualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Education:Bachelor’s degree, requiredExperience:Fifteen (15) or more years of healthcare finance, revenue cycle operations, clinical operations, or vendor/consultant-based experience, requiredFive (5) or more years’ experience with healthcare EHR vendor systems for large group practices, and or hospitals, requiredLicense(s)/Certification(s)/Affiliation(s):Epic Certification, preferredSoftware:Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, Visio, and SharePoint, requiredProficiency in the use of Epic, Cerner, or athenaIDX, preferredOther Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Executive presence, with the ability to act as primary contact on assigned engagementsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as presentation skillsStrong analytical and advanced research skills related to industry trends, market competition and technologySolid organizational skills, especially the ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on detailsAbility to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environmentAbility to work in a deadline-driven environment, and handle multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the Firm and with clientsCapacity to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and client personnelAbility to encourage a team environment on engagements, and contribute to the professional development of assigned personnelAbility to travel 50% or more, requiredIndividual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.National Range: $115,000 - $170,000NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $115,000 - $170,000Maryland Range: $115,000 - $170,000
