Airline Catering Cook - CLE AirportThe Airline Catering Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals in a fast-paced airline catering environment. This role ensures all food is produced in accordance with company recipes, portion standards, and production schedules while maintaining strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and cook hot food items according to established recipes, portion standards, and daily production schedulesPerform food preparation tasks including cleaning, cutting, marinating, seasoning, and cooking ingredientsEnsure all meals meet company quality, presentation, and portion requirementsMaintain compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards, including HACCP requirementsConduct quality checks throughout the production process to ensure consistency and accuracySupport proper food storage practices, including FIFO (First In, First Out) proceduresMonitor inventory levels and assist with ordering food and kitchen supplies as neededInspect incoming goods to ensure quality and specification complianceAssist in resolving quality concerns and implementing corrective actions as neededMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all timesCollaborate with team members and leadership to meet production goals and deadlinesPerform any additional duties as assignedQualifications18 years of age or olderMust be legally authorized to work in the country of employmentHigh school diploma or equivalent required35 years of experience in a commercial kitchen environment; airline catering experience preferredCulinary training or certification preferredStrong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standardsAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environmentStrong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized recipes and processesBasic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office or similar systemsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential requirement satisfactorily.
