Report to the Product Manager and own the design, analysis, validation, and refinement of mechanical components and assemblies for reliable, scalable liquid‑cooling products.\nTypical Day Mechanical Design & Development – Design liquid‑cooling components such as cold plates, manifolds, quick‑disconnects, tubing assemblies, housings, and chassis interfaces using CAD, 2‑D drawings, GD&T, and tolerance stack‑ups. Select materials and finishes for corrosion, galvanic compatibility, cleanliness, pressure containment, and durability. Drive sealing strategies with O‑rings, gaskets, welds, brazes, and adhesives.\nEngineering Analysis – Perform mechanical stress, thermal expansion, fatigue, vibration, flow/pressure, and structural integrity simulations. Collaborate with thermal engineers to optimize flow distribution, pressure drop, fin/channel geometry, and heat‑transfer efficiency. Attend DFM reviews to align machining, brazing, and fabrication methods with design needs.\nPrototyping & Validation – Build prototypes to evaluate fit, finish, assembly, and performance. Develop validation plans for pressure tests, leak testing, burst testing, vibration/shock, environmental exposure, thermal cycling, and dimensional inspection. Design test fixtures and support automated data collection. Conduct root‑cause analysis and implement corrective design changes.\nManufacturing & Supplier Engagement – Work with manufacturing engineering and suppliers on machining, brazing, plating, and sealing processes. Define CTQ characteristics, participate in supplier qualification, and review tooling, control plans, and inspection criteria for new parts. Support build events (EVT/DVT/PVT). Ensure components meet functionality, quality, and reliability targets.\nCross‑Functional Collaboration – Translate product requirements into mechanical specifications with Program Management and Product Development. Partner with Thermal and Electrical teams for system‑level integration. Provide input into serviceability, reliability, manufacturability, and cost trade‑offs. Support customer evaluations, pilot deployments, and field feedback analysis.\nQualifications BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.\n7+ years designing complex mechanical components or assemblies for electromechanical systems; experience with liquid cooling or fluid systems preferred.\nStrong proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks, Creo, NX), drawing generation, and GD&T (ASME Y14.5).\nExperience designing for precision machining, brazing, plating, elastomer sealing, and pressure‑rated components.\nHands‑on experience with pressure/leak testing, dimensional inspection, materials evaluation, and mechanical validation testing.\nSolid knowledge of copper, aluminum, stainless steel, polymers, and elastomers in liquid‑coolant environments.\nTechnical expertise in structural evaluation, fluid‑dynamics, and heat‑transfer principles.\nExcellent communication skills and ability to lead technical decisions across teams.\nBenefits Medical, dental, and vision plans\nShort‑term and long‑term disability insurance\nLife insurance\n401(k) matching\nPaid vacation and sick time\nTuition reimbursement\nPay Range (MA) $104,100.00 – $143,100.00 USD per year.\nEqual Opportunity Employer Statement JetCool is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
