Four Hands is where passion meets purpose and where your next chapter begins.\nThe Associate Demand Planner owns foundational planning responsibilities for assigned categories, building expertise in forecasting, inventory management, and lifecycle execution under the guidance of senior planners. This role drives performance through data analysis and execution, while developing the skills to independently manage increasingly complex categories.\nIn This Role\nDevelop and maintain item- and category-level forecasts using historical performance, seasonality, and trend analysis to identify gaps and recommend forecast improvements\nManage a category portfolio contributing up to 5% of annual revenue with guidance and oversight from senior planners\nMonitor and drive key performance indicator (KPI) success across forecast accuracy, inventory turns, aged inventory, excess inventory, and product availability; execute actions to improve results\nMaintain and execute Open-to-Buy (OTB) plans for assigned categories and proactively identify and communicate inventory risks\nSupport the execution of promotional and markdown strategies\nSupport product lifecycle planning, including end-of-life (EOL) strategies and new product introduction (NPI) forecasting; execute markdowns and exit strategies as needed\nManage purchase order requests, acknowledgements, and pipeline tracking while monitoring receipt flow and communicating ETA changes to Sales and cross-functional partners\nParticipate in cross-functional planning discussions and initiatives, representing planning priorities and insights for assigned categories\nMaintain reporting accuracy and data integrity; identify and escalate risks, discrepancies, or system issues to senior planners as needed\nOther duties as assigned, in accordance with training and qualifications\nUphold the Core Values and be a valuable member of the Four Hands Team\nBe open and honest\nReach for excellence\nAct with responsibility\nValue the whole person\nEnjoy the journey\nKey KPIs\nBOP and EOP Inventory\nSell-Thru\nInventory Turn\nOpen to Buy (OTB) and Historical Variance\nSKU Productivity\nThe Ideal Person\n2+ years of retail planning, buying or equivalent analytical experience (furniture industry experience preferred)\nBachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Merchandising required\nAdvanced knowledge of Excel with aptitude to learn new systems quickly\nStrong analytical and creative problem-solving skills\nDemonstrated ability to take initiative and ownership of assigned work projects\nStrong communication skills, both written and verbal\nHighly organized and detail oriented\nAbility to influence cross-functionally\nAbout Four Hands\nHeadquartered in Austin, Texas, since 1996, Four Hands crafts furniture, art and décor — pieces that are all about creating space.
