You own the network end to end and direct the field techs doing the hands-on work.What you'd be running:→ Cisco Catalyst campus switching, Nexus in the data center→ Palo Alto NGFW→ Aruba wireless with Central and ClearPass→ Hyper-V, Dell PowerStore, Windows Server and AD→ Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, side by sideWhat's actually on the roadmap:→ A data center relocation you'd help plan and execute→ A voice migration off legacy telephony to cloud callingThis isn't a caretaker role and it isn't a help desk role. If you've been three layers down in someone else's org chart waiting for the seat where the technical decisions are finally yours — this is that seat.Commute check: if you're in West LA, Santa Monica, Culver City, Mid-Wilshire, Hollywood, or over the hill in Sherman Oaks or Studio City, you're 15–30 minutes out. Anyone further east or south, be honest with yourself about the 8 AM drive.Looking for: you came up as a network engineer and you've been leading for three to five years — long enough to run a team and a budget. Roughly 8–15 years total. Deep across Cisco switching and routing, Aruba wireless, and next-gen firewalls, Palo Alto preferred. You'll set direction and hold the standard while field techs and vendors execute, but nobody is going to snow you on a technical call. CCNA/CCNP/Security+ a plus.This is moving fast. One-year contract with option to renew.
