Senior Structural Engineer

MissionHires is partnering with a leading U.S. engineering consultancy to hire a Senior Structural Engineer in Baltimore, MD (on-site, no remote). The ideal candidate will lead complex steel, concrete, and masonry projects for commercial, institutional, industrial, and federal clients—owning the work from concept through completion, managing schedules and budgets, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating closely with architects, contractors, and multi-disciplinary teams. Compensation: $110,000–$135,000 per year, direct hire. Responsibilities: Lead structural design efforts for steel, concrete, and masonry structures from concept through completionOversee project schedules, budgets, scope, and deliverables to ensure quality and timelinessServe as primary point of contact for clients; build and maintain strong client relationshipsCoordinate and collaborate with architects, contractors, and internal engineering disciplinesReview calculations, drawings, and specifications; ensure compliance with applicable codes and standardsProvide technical guidance, mentorship, and quality reviews for junior staffPrepare and present design reports, submittals, and progress updates to stakeholdersSupport construction administration activities, including RFIs, submittal reviews, and site observations Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) with a structural focusActive Structural Engineer (SE) or Professional Engineer (PE) license8+ years of structural design and project leadership experienceProficiency with AutoCAD and standard office software; familiarity with related structural design toolsDemonstrated experience delivering projects for commercial, institutional, industrial, or federal clientsStrong communication, organization, and client-facing skillsAbility to work on-site in Baltimore, MD (no remote)
