Technical Sales Trainee

Description Job SummaryThis role is designed for individuals looking to build a career in the building automation and energy solutions industry. This role blends technical learning, field exposure, and sales development to prepare candidates for a full-time Technical Sales Executive position. The program is designed to expose and teach participates principals including sales fundamentals, strategic account management, macro market understanding, develop technical estimating and proposal proficiencies, develop presentation skills and relationship building coaching. Upon mastery of skills the objective is for the individual to be promoted to Strategic Technical Sales Executive in one of our growing business units.Duties/ResponsibilitiesTechnical Development Learn fundamentals of HVAC systems, BAS, and controls integration. Assist in site walks, system assessments, and data collection. Support development of energy efficiency solutions.Sales & Business Development Support sales team in identifying opportunities. Participate in client meetings and presentations. Assist in developing proposals and estimates.Market Engagement Build relationships with stakeholders. Participate in industry events. Conduct market research.Operational Exposure Assist with project turnover and coordination.Training & Development Program Phase 1: Industry fundamentals Phase 2: Field training Phase 3: Sales training Phase 4: Pipeline developmentRequirementsRequired Skills/Abilities: Business acumen and understanding of finance. Motivated team player. Strategic thinking and problem solving. Ability to present information to a variety of audiences, external and internal.Education And Experience Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business or Engineering Technology Strong communication skills Interest in technical salesPhysical Requirements Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.Compensation & Benefits Stable Base Salary: Competitive fixed salary ($65k) during the immersive training phases. Allowances: Monthly vehicle allowance of $450 and cell phone allowance of $50 provided.
