Technical Welding Subject Matter Expert - ConstructionThis service supports Environmental Management Sector Clients and ProSidian Team Members work as part of an Engagement Team Cadre to fulfil T&M - Time and Materials requirements. The Technical Welding Subject Matter Expert (SME) CO 108 shall be responsible for technical welding support as required for the site welding program.Position Responsibilities: Code Interpretation, ASME Sect. VIII, ASME Sect. IX, AWS D1.1, AWS D9.1, B31.3 (Welding), Training, Design / Subcontract Specification Reviews, NDE / Inspection, Welding Field Support.Qualifications: The Technical Welding Subject Matter Expert - Construction shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position. Working knowledge of national welding codes and standards, ASME Sect. VIII, Sect. IX, AWS, B31.3, Minimum ASNT Level II Inspection Certification, Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and at least 8 years of practical experience in the welding arena or Associate's degree in a technical discipline and at least 12 years of practical experience in the welding arena or High school diploma and 16+ years of practical experience in welding arena. A 40-hour workweek is scheduled. SRR construction utilizes a 10 hour per day - four days per week schedule. A standard work week is Monday through Thursday 6:30am - 5:00pm. However, alternate schedules could be employed. Workweek excludes SRR holidays. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license. Personal vehicles operated by candidate must have valid registration. Personal vehicles operated by candidate must be insured with proof of insurance within the vehicle. U.S. Citizenship Required - You must be a United States Citizen. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, & Adobe). All ProSidian staff must be determined eligible for a "Facility Access Authorization" (also referred to as an "Employment Authorization") by the USG's designated Security Office. Other Requirements and Conditions of Employment Apply. May be required to complete a Financial Disclosure Statement. Must be able to submit to and qualify for varying levels of background investigative requirements, up to a Top Secret or DOE "Q" clearance. TRAVEL: Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings, events, site visits, or other training requirements. Travel is coordinated with the technical point of contact and approved in writing by the Contracting Officer in advance, as allowed, in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations. LOCATION: Work shall be conducted at or in proximity to Savannah River Site / Aiken, South Carolina.
