Founded in 1878, the company is headquartered in Benicia, CA, and operates additional facilities in Sparks, NV.Position Summary\r\nThe Painter/Utility Worker is primarily responsible for the overall support and assistance with the prepping and painting of compressors to include packaging and production.Responsibilities\r\nProvide quality, on time painting of compressors, generators, and associated parts.\r\nWorking with production supervisor for prioritization of work orders to complete on time delivery painted components\r\nMask/Prep/Clean all components before applying primer/paint.\r\nMaintain all paint logs per Rix policies.\r\nAdhere to all safety rules, regulations, and practices.\r\nMaintain the paint booth and equipment as directed and complete weekly 5S Cleanings/audits; both in and outside.\r\nNotify supervisors of adequate levels of supplies and tools for completion of assigned tasks.\r\nParticipate in all cross-training programs as directed by supervisor.\r\nAdhere to all company rules and policies.\r\nPerform all other duties in the best interest of the company or as directed by the Director of Operations and/or Production and Manufacturing Manager.\r\nForklift certification necessary to move and transport components.\r\nAll Other Duties as AssignedMinimum Qualifications\r\nPass and maintain painter qualification courses.\r\nTechnical school or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.\r\nValid Driver's license with no restrictions for insurance purposes.\r\nAbility to read and understand structural drawing, schematics and operating manuals.\r\nAbility to perform calculations such as percentages, ratios and fractions.\r\nAbility to learn basic computer skills and ability to adapt to a variety of software applications.\r\nAbility to understand the use and application of air and gas compressors and generators and basic manufacturing tooling and equipment.\r\nAbility to communicate with others to exchange information both orally and in writing.\r\nCitizenship:U.S. Citizen or qualified U.S. Person in accordance with ALU 22CFR 120.15.May require the ability to obtain DOD security clearance.Preferred Qualifications\r\nAdvanced coursework in any mechanical assembly discipline.\r\nSpecific experience in the manufacture of air and gas compressors and generators a plus.\r\nPainting of industrial equipmentPhysical Requirements\r\n1.
