This position requires hands-on experience with\ncutter, folder, and stitcher setup, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and strong\nunderstanding of commercial printing bindery processes.\nGeneral warehouse, packaging, or unrelated machine operator experience does not replace the\ncommercial printing experience required for this opening.\nKey Responsibilities\n\nSet up, adjust, and operate bindery equipment to meet job specifications\nIndependently perform machine setups on cutters, folders, and stitchers to meet job requirements and\nproduction standards\n\nRead and interpret job tickets, layouts, and production specifications\nMeasure and verify folds, cuts, page order, alignment, and finished dimensions\nInspect work throughout production to ensure quality standards are met\nTroubleshoot machine and process issues and make necessary adjustments\nMaintain production schedules and meet deadlines\nRecord production counts, waste, and completed work\nPerform routine maintenance and keep equipment clean and in good working order\nFollow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area\nCommunicate production issues, quality concerns, or delays to bindery leadership\nExperience with foil stamping, die cutting, and gluing is a plus\n\nQualifications\nRequired Skills & Experience\n\nMinimum 3–5 years of experience as a bindery operator in a commercial printing environment\nDemonstrated ability to independently set up cutters, folders, and stitchers\nStrong working knowledge of bindery equipment and finishing processes\nAbility to read and understand job tickets and production specifications\nHigh attention to detail and commitment to quality\nReliable attendance\nPreferred Experience\n\nExperience with high-end finishing, specialty print, or packaging work\nMechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills\nExperience working with tight tolerances and premium substrates\nSuccess in This Role Looks Like\n\nAccurate and efficient machine setups with minimal downtime\nConsistent production of high-quality finished products\nJobs completed on schedule with minimal rework\nDependable, consistent performance\nWhy Prisma\nPrisma is a full-service commercial printing company offering offset, digital, and wide format printing.
