The position will lead the development of new features and maintain the existing codebase that helps tackle challenging and important problems impacting thousands of local pet care providers who rely on Time To Pet to run their business in real time. The ideal candidate will be able to operate well in ambiguity and come to a great solution. As a Sr. React Native Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain our react native mobile application(s).\r\n*** This position is based in Austin, Texas. The expectation would be to work from our office 2 days per week to foster close collaboration with the rest of the Time To Pet team.\r\nResponsibilities\r\nDesign and develop high-quality new featureswith a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.\r\nMaintain the existing code base by fixing bugs and making improvements as needed.\r\nCollaborate with development team to ensure the successful delivery of software features and updates.\r\nWrite clean, maintainable, and testable code, with a focus on best practices and coding standards.\r\nMap real-world customer issues to product solutions.\r\nParticipate in code reviews, design discussions, and other collaborative activities to ensure the quality and consistency of our codebase.\r\nContribute to the development of our technical roadmap, with a focus on innovation, efficiency, and growth.\r\nStay current with the latest trends and best practices in mobile application development, and continuously improve your skills and knowledge.\r\nRequirements\r\nDegree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.\r\n5+ years developing mobile applications with react native.\r\nExposure/experience with Expo.\r\nStrong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.\r\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.\r\nComfortable navigating large codebases at scale.\r\nDriven and self-disciplined with the ability to own projects from start to finish.\r\nPreferred\r\nExperience with native iOS or native Android development.\r\nExperience submitting mobile applications to Google Play and Apple stores.\r\nExperience working in a hybrid environment.\r\nKnowledge of and experience building out a REST API.\r\nThe salary for this role is $140,000 - $145,000 per year.
