Join us to work on some of the most exciting challenges in tech, with projects aimed at creating the best checkout experience on the market.\nWhat you will do\nExtend Uber's Checkout Platform with new capabilities.\nEnable these new capabilities for a wide range of Uber lines of business.\nWork closely with backend engineers and cross-platform developers to build Checkout Platform and a seamless user experience.\nPartner with Product, Partner Platform, Design, and Research teams to understand product ideas and business needs and help deliver these as a series of experiments.\nImplement Web UI with the latest Web/Backend technologies.\nSelect the right architecture and design for ideas and experiments to quickly scale.\nStrong understanding of software experimentation philosophy in the earlier work with an understanding of setting up A/B experiments for hypothesis testing.\nOrchestrate rollouts that span across both mobile and backend systems.\nBasic Qualifications\n7+ years hands on experience in developing consumer-facing web applications\nExpertise in modern Web frameworks, such as React as well as vanilla JS, and RESTful APIs\nExpertise with distributed systems at scale\nExperience analysing a feature in production using analytics and experiments\nExperience driving collaboration on projects and delivering impactful results\nPreferred Qualifications\nExcellent documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.\nStrong understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.\nKnowledge of performance tuning, usability, and automation testing.\n~~ ~~\n\nFor San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $232,000 per year - USD $258,000 per year.\n\nFor Sunnyvale, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $232,000 per year - USD $258,000 per year.\n\nFor all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan.
