This role is distinct from traditional product engineering: our mission is time-to-value. Forward Deployed Engineers rapidly design and deliver solutions that directly address client business needs while building reusable foundations that make the next project faster and better.\r\nThis role prioritizes autonomy, execution, and impact. You won't be limited to incremental features on a fixed roadmap; you'll help define the problems, shape the solutions, and deliver outcomes that matter to both clients and the product. Your work will power client relationships, accelerate adoption of Arcesium's platform, and shape the evolution of our products. Forward Deployed Engineers sit in a uniquely leveraged position: seeing client problems first, solving them end-to-end, and turning those solutions into lasting capabilities for the platform.\r\nWhat Makes This Role Unique\r\nTime-to-value is the mission. Solutions must be delivered quickly while building strategic infrastructure that accelerates future work.\r\nYou work directly with clients. FD Engineers are part of the face of Arcesium and partner closely with client technology owners and business stakeholders.\r\nYou close the loop with product. You will identify patterns across client needs and translate them into improvements, features, and platform direction.\r\nYou build targeted, high-impact solutions. Expect many small, self-contained deliverables that directly solve business problems alongside foundational components that endure.\r\nCode lives at multiple horizons. Some solutions run for years in production; others exist briefly to unlock immediate value.\r\nResponsibilities\r\nOwn execution and delivery of client-facing technical solutions, integrations, and data workflows.\r\nGather requirements, iterate on deliverables, and drive projects through completion with client technology owners, client executives, and Arcesium stakeholders.\r\nDesign and build data pipelines, integrations, and targeted applications that address specific business needs.\r\nCollaborate with platform and product engineers on architecture, patterns, and reusable capabilities informed by client work.\r\nRapidly prototype and deliver proof-of-concepts that demonstrate value and inform longer-term solutions.\r\nContribute feedback and real-world use cases to product teams to influence roadmap and platform evolution.\r\nOperate across environments: your solutions may run in Arcesium's platform, client environments, or someone's laptop.\r\nQualifications\r\n5+ years delivering data-centric technical solutions to enterprise-scale customers is preferred, but what we're really looking for is someone with the drive to solve real problems on time, drive innovation, and make yourself and the people around you better every day. You will need to take ownership through ambiguity and connect technical work to business outcomes. We use Java, Python, TypeScript, and SQL.\r\nAbility to balance speed and quality, building both rapid solutions and durable systems.\r\nExperience with cloud platforms and the modern data stack is a plus.\r\nFamiliarity with financial services, investment lifecycle, or asset management is a plus.\r\nExperience using AI in enterprise products and systems, both internal and client-facing, is a plus.\r\nCompensation\r\nThe expected annual base salary for this position is $200,000 - $240,000 Base.
