05-Software Engineer

ATC is seeking an onsite Software Engineer to be engaged in software development and testing activities. Must be a US citizen.Duties/Responsibilities:Candidate will lead and participate in software development, testing and integration effortsOrganize, coordinate and facilitate validation and testing of multi-vendor based space and ground hardware and software systemsDerive requirements through interactions with customers/usersTest, deploy and maintain applicationsConfiguration managementBasic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or any other relevant technical field or equivalent experience plus 5+ years of software development and testing experienceMaster's Degree in computer Science or Electrical Engineering or any other relevant technical field or equivalent experience plus 3+ years of software development and testing experienceHigh School diploma or GED with 7+ years of software development and testing experienceProficient with C++ programing language,Experience with oriented programing languagesQt to design graphical interfacesWindows and Linux OS based programming experienceFamiliar with configuration management practices (i.e. SVN, CVS, Git, and etc.)Experience of developing a large piece of software (i.e. >10k lines of executable code)Familiar with concurrent programming practices (i.e. using threads, synchronization, etc.)Must have active TS/SCI US Government Security ClearanceThese Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:Understanding of User Interfaces (UI)s, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standardsWeb Development Skills - Java, JavaScript, HTML, HTML5, CSS, cross-browser compatibility, Web User Interface Design, Security Principles, Object-Oriented Design, Web ServicesProgramming Skills/Experience - Messaging (JMS), SWING, Frameworks (Hibernate, Spring, Camel), Apache Tomcat, SQL, GWT, JSON, JavaScript, Struts, Python, PHP, Oracle, MySQL, JDBC, SOAP, REST, ActiveMQ, HTTPD, Subversion, Ant, RPM.
