Corporate Controller

Job Title: Corporate ControllerLocation: Burton, MI (On-site Preferred)Position OverviewSeeking an experienced Corporate Controller to lead accounting and finance operations in a fast-paced, private equity-backed industrial/distribution environment. This role will oversee financial reporting, month-end close, FP&A, working capital management, process automation, and M&A integration support while partnering closely with executive leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesLead accounting operations, month-end close, reconciliations, and internal controlsManage budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and KPI reportingOversee cash flow, liquidity forecasting, AR/AP, and working capital activitiesSupport audit readiness, lender reporting, and financial complianceDrive process improvements, ERP optimization, automation, and Power BI reportingSupport M&A due diligence, purchase accounting, and post-acquisition integrationsPartner cross-functionally with operations, sourcing, and leadership teamsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting required; MBA preferred8+ years of accounting/finance leadership experienceStrong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, FP&A, and internal controlsExperience in PE-backed, manufacturing, industrial, or distribution environments preferredHands-on experience with M&A integration and financial due diligenceExperience with ERP systems, Power BI, automation tools, and advanced ExcelStrong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience with Epicor Prophet 21 (P21)Background in industrial distribution or manufacturingExposure to AI-driven finance automation and reporting tools
