This position is full-time and will be based out of Los Alamos, New Mexico.\nResponsibilities\nPerforms research and development to identify and implement applicable emerging technologies in the Laboratory computing environment.\nUtilizes formal project management methodologies; gathers customer requirements; performs risk management functions; performs capacity and availability planning for computing infrastructure; performs effective communication both, verbal and written, at all levels.\nResolves a wide range of issues in creative ways.\nProvides resolutions to a diverse range of complex problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.\nContributes to the development of organization's goals and objectives.\nWorks under limited direction; receives general instructions on new assignments.\nWorks to completion to ensure objectives have been met.\nRequirements\nEducation & Years of Experience – Bachelor’s Degree and 4+ years of relevant experience; additional, relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.\nCitizenship – To be considered, you must be a United States (U.S.) citizen due to the federal nature of the work.\nClearance – To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.\nProvides advanced technical support services; designs, specifies, and develops solutions for complex heterogeneous computing infrastructure.\nDemonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.\nDetermines approach to solutions, plans schedule and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives.\nAbout the Site\nThe NNSA's Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), located in Los Alamos, New Mexico, is a design laboratory responsible for the safety and reliability of the nuclear explosives package in nuclear weapons.
