Our platform is used by scientific and engineering teams across regulated and non-regulated industries, and quality, reliability, and compliance are core to how we build and ship product.\n\nRole Overview\nThe Validation Engineer is responsible for ensuring that Uncountable’s software systems meet internal quality standards and applicable regulatory requirements. This role partners closely with Engineering, Product, and Quality to design, execute, and maintain validation activities throughout the software development lifecycle.\n\nCurrently, we do not sponsor employment visas for this position. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US without current or future sponsorship.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nPlan, execute, and maintain software validation activities in accordance with company procedures and applicable regulations (e.g., FedRamp, GxP, FDA, ISO, as applicable).\n\nAuthor and maintain validation documentation, including validation plans, risk assessments, test protocols, test reports, and traceability matrices.\n\nReview system requirements, design specifications, and user stories to ensure they are testable and appropriately controlled.\n\nExecute and/or review functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.\n\nSupport change control activities by assessing validation impact and updating documentation as needed.\n\nCollaborate with Engineering and Product to identify risks early and ensure quality is built into the development process.\n\nParticipate in audits and inspections by preparing documentation and supporting responses.\n\nContinuously improve validation processes, templates, and tools to increase efficiency and scalability.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).\n\nStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple validation activities in parallel.\n\nClear written and verbal communication skills.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nExperience validating SaaS or cloud-based applications.\n\nFamiliarity with GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, ISO 9001, or similar regulatory frameworks.\n\nExperience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced product environment.\n\nPrior experience supporting customer or internal audits.\n\n#J-18808-Ljbffr","company":"Uncountable","rawCompany":"uncountable","city":"Millbrae","state":"CA","isRemote":false,"isActive":false,"createdAt":"2026-07-16T03:15:12.056Z","occupations":[{"code":"17-2112.02","title":"Validation Engineers","slug":"validation-engineers"},{"code":"15-1252.00","title":"Software Developers","slug":"software-developers"},{"code":"15-1253.00","title":"Software Quality Assurance Analysts and Testers","slug":"software-quality-assurance-analysts-and-testers"}],"industries":[{"code":"513210","title":"Software Publishers","slug":"software-publishers"},{"code":"541511","title":"Custom Computer Programming Services","slug":"custom-computer-programming-services"},{"code":"541690","title":"Other Scientific and Technical Consulting Services","slug":"other-scientific-and-technical-consulting-services"}],"jobPosting":{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"JobPosting","title":"Validation Engineer","description":"About Uncountable\nUncountable builds software that helps R&D teams manage data, workflows, and experimentation at scale.
