EMEA/Germany Regional Crisis Coordinator (m/w/d) Crisis Management & Travel Security (CM&TS) team , we are looking for a Regional Crisis Coordinator who will be responsible for both global activities and crisis management initiatives within the assigned region (EMEA / Germany). We are seeking a collaborative team player who values trust, transparency, and strong cooperation in a dynamic crisis management environment. The role includes, but is not limited to: Drive and maintain the global CM&TS central governance framework in close collaboration with the Global Head of Crisis Management & Travel Security Enable SAP employees to conduct business travel safely, securely, and confidently on an international scale by providing travel briefings, education, information, tools, and other resources to internal business travelers Support the readiness of Crisis Management Teams in the assigned region to remain prepared to effectively handle a disruptive incident and to remain compliant with global governance by conducting regular crisis drills and exercises and by maintaining essential tools, documents, and other resources Advise, train, and support virtual Crisis Management role holders in the assigned region to coordinate and support their respective Crisis Management Teams Support the coordination of activities of various Crisis Management Teams and lines of business in the assigned region to effectively handle a disruptive incident Support Situational Intelligence by monitoring, analyzing, and assessing third‑party providers and open‑source intelligence to determine the impact of global incidents on business operations Support the organization’s 24/7 Global Incident Response by coordinating the overall response to global disruptive incidents such as terror attacks, natural disasters, epidemics, unrest, etc. using established alerting structures and tools Locate and communicate with travelers and office‑based employees and account for staff in case of a crisis incident using travel tracking tools Provide back‑office support for the CM&TS team by maintaining tools and data, crafting and presenting reports, and maintaining existing and creating new documentation, presentations, and other resources What you bring Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree and other professional certification (ASIS, BCI, etc.) is a plus Experience or education in executing crisis management and travel security is a plus National security, emergency management, physical security, first responder, military, foreign affairs, intelligence, risk management, humanitarian work, NGOs/aid providers, or a related field is a plus 6+ years international experience in jobs, internships, education, or personal life or experience working in a global or multinational organization is a plus Ability and willingness to quickly gain a good understanding of crisis management and travel safety & security topics Excellent ability to deliver under pressure and to work with people across board areas, cultures, and time zones both virtually and in‑person Hands‑on and solution‑oriented working style, with the ability to perform effectively in crisis environments Ability to withstand a hectic environment and stress during crisis situations Strong organizational skills to include rapid and succinct decision making, ability to multi‑task on a regular basis, working independently with minimal supervision, ability to work well within a team, and an ability to handle sensitive information confidentially Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to present information to and communicate with executive‑level stakeholders in a clear, concise, and effective manner Excellent English language proficiency required, additional business‑level proficiency in German language preferred Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.) Proficient in the use of business technologies, tools, and applications Established internal and/or external network as well as established contacts to relevant intelligence or aid providers/networks is a plus Ability to work occasional extended weekday and weekend hours to support crisis handling and a weekend Manager on Duty role Ability to travel both domestically and internationally (expected travel is about 20%) Strong creative and critical thinker with the drive and commitment to pursue further professional development SAP is committed to the values of Equal Employment Opportunity and provides accessibility accommodations to applicants with physical and/or mental disabilities.
