Provides direction to the management team for the development and implementation of risk reduction solutions, safety best practices, and continuous improvements to drive to zero injuries. Ensures strict compliance with national, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations and standards.\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES\n\nEstablish, maintain, and promote safety as a core value and drive a positive safety culture.\n\nIdentify and prioritize EHS initiatives in support of business needs.\n\nCoordinate with Learning and Development team to evaluate, develop, and implement required EHS training for employees.\n\nMaintain data collection and reporting systems for EHS metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).\n\nCoordinate EHS metrics and best practices with the Vertiv Operating System (VOS).\n\nEnsure new equipment, machines, workstations, and assembly lines are implemented following all applicable safety and environmental regulatory requirements and best practices.\n\nAdvise the EHS leader on facility risks, incidents, actions, programs, and policies.\n\nMeasure and monitor environmental impacts in conformance with Vertiv’s environmental policy and government regulations.\n\nEstablish, monitor, enforce, and improve EHS systems, programs, policies, and procedures to reduce or eliminate risk with the goal of zero injuries.\n\nConduct safety audits, inspections, and hazard assessments.\n\nMaintain an employee safety committee, safety suggestion program, and safety promotional activities.\n\nMaintain site safety records, such as Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Job Hazard Analyses (JSA), and Ergonomic Assessments.\n\nMaintain incident and injury records and logs as required by OSHA and Vertiv.\n\nEnsure all EPA regulatory requirements are met, including but not limited to hazardous/non-hazardous waste, stormwater permitting, SARA Title III & EPCRA Title I/II reporting, wastewater discharge, SPCC Plans, etc.\n\nEnsure Hazmat shipping registration and vendor contracts are properly managed.\n\nConduct incident investigations to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.\n\nManage Workers’ Compensation claims and attend hearings as required.\n\nManage and support the Emergency and Crisis Management Response Program and local Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT).\n\nNormal work week is day shift Monday-Friday, but some after-hours and weekend work may be required for off-shift training, emergencies, or other special situations.\n\nSome travel may be required for training and cross-facility inspections and audits.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\nBachelor’s degree preferred or relevant Environmental, Health, and Safety experience.\n\nA minimum of 3-5 years EHS experience in manufacturing operations or equivalent.
