With over 115 locations in 24 states, our team of more than 1,900 employees serves over 42,000 patients.Job Summary:The Clinical Supervisor oversees the clinical supervision of counselors in training or working towards certification/licensure and provides guidance to the counseling team. They help patients identify and leverage strengths for social, educational, and occupational goals, supporting their transition to a drug-free life. Reporting to the Program Director, the Clinical Supervisor ensures adherence to schedules, program policies, and regulatory requirements.Responsibilities:Supervise and mentor counselors, providing feedback and documentation.Conduct one-on-one and group therapy sessions.Provide hands-on training through observation and case record review.Facilitate weekly supervision sessions with feedback and mentoring.Conduct regular counseling sessions as required by regulations.Develop and revise patient treatment plans, maintaining comprehensive records.Document patient contacts and ensure case-management follow-ups.Implement new programs and advise on caseload management.Lead and participate in treatment team meetings.Provide in-service training and stay updated on addiction treatment trends.Coordinate care with community providers and handle crisis interventions.Conduct peer file reviews and assess clinical service quality.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and accrediting agencies.Encourage unlicensed counselors to obtain licensure/certification.Participate in community and public relations activities.Minimum Requirements:Master's degree in related field, active clinical license, and at least two (2) years of full-time experience providing behavioral health servicesQualified candidates must also meet one of the following requirements:Licensed Independent Practitioner, including one of the following:Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)Licensed Psychologist (PhD)Licensed Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (LNP)Licensed Chemical Dependency Clinical Supervisor (LCDCS) with:Experience providing substance use counseling, andExperience delivering clinical supervision focused on counseling competencies and clinical skill developmentLicensed Chemical Dependency Professional (LCDP) or Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) who has completed a Department-approved clinical supervision courseCertified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC), Certified Co-Occurring Disorder Professional (CCDP), or Certified Co-Occurring Disorder Professional-Diplomate (CCDP-D)Additional qualifications:Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and perform effectively under pressureSound judgment in handling confidential and sensitive informationKnowledge of substance use disorders, behavioral health treatment planning, and rehabilitation principlesFamiliarity with addiction treatment populations and applicable documentation standardsBasic computer proficiency and ability to use office and electronic health record systemsPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions:Effective communication skills by phone or in personAdequate vision for reading correspondence, computer screens, and forms.Prolonged sitting with some bending, stooping, or stretching.Ability to handle variable workloads and high-stress levels.Standard medical office environmentInteraction with patients who may be ill, have infectious diseases, mental health diagnoses, or involvement in the criminal justice systemLong periods of keyboardingWhy Join BHG?Work-Life Balance: Enjoy generous paid time off, holidays, and personal needs.
