NO STATE OF GEORGIA BENEFITS.\n\nJob Description:\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nUnder general supervision, instruct students in Engineering Technology skill areas.\nFollow state standards in developing program and course outlines, goals, and objectives.\nDevelops syllabi to meet program and school objectives.\nEvaluates students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives.\nRequests and maintains supplies and equipment, and prepares required budget requests.\nMaintains program certification requirements, as appropriate.\nPrepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports.\nAttends staff development training, workshops, seminars and conferences.\nEnsures safety and security requirements are met in the training area.\nRespond in a timely manner to administrative requests.\nMeets with students, staff members and other educators to discuss students’ instructional programs and other issues impacting the progress of the students.\nAssist with recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts.\nMaintain program certification requirements, as appropriate.\nDemonstrate strong time management and organizational skills.\nDemonstrate effective written and oral communication.\nContribute to the writing of accreditation and assessment reports.\nDemonstrate general computer knowledge (Microsoft Word, Excel).\nAssists with student recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\nMaster’s degree in Civil, Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering/Engineering Technology from a regionally accredited college or university.\nThree (3) years of work experience in a position related to engineering technology.\nMust be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies for the courses assigned.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nDoctoral degree in Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering/Engineering Technology from a regionally accredited college or university.\nMore than three (3) years of work experience in a position related to engineering technology.\nPrevious work experience in manufacturing and/or quality control.\nPrevious teaching experience in a post-secondary environment.\nPrevious online teaching or training experience, including the use of video capture tools.\nStrong academic and work experience in civil engineering.\n\nTo apply, submit your cover letter, resume/vita, three (3) professional references, and unofficial transcripts.
