Sensor Integration Engineer (C2 Systems)

*ABOUT THE ROLE*While professional experience and qualifications are key for this role, make sure to check you have the preferable soft skills before applying if required.We are seeking a highly motivated Sensor Integration Engineer to support the development, integration, and deployment of our Command & Control (C2) platform. This role is responsible for integrating cameras, radars, effectors, and other third-party systems into our software environment while ensuring reliable performance across operational scenarios.This is a hands-on engineering role that bridges software, hardware, networking, and systems integration, with ownership from initial integration through full operational demonstration. The ideal candidate will have strong software development experience, an understanding of networking and distributed systems, and the ability to work effectively in an Agile engineering environment supporting mission-critical applications.*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** Lead integration of sensors and external systems into the C2 platform* Analyze and work from ICDs, APIs, specifications, and technical documentation* Develop and implement software interfaces, adapters, and integration services* Configure and validate data ingestion, sensor fusion, and visualization capabilities* Test, troubleshoot, and validate system performance across lab and field environments* Support operational demonstrations and customer-facing integration activities* Maintain integration documentation including configurations, test procedures, and results* Serve as the technical point of contact for integration efforts Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, reviews, and backlog refinement* Collaborate with software, systems, and network engineering teams to ensure successful end-to-end integration* Support Linux-based and containerized deployments using Docker and related technologies* Contribute to the development and implementation of secure coding standards for mission-critical systems* Mentor junior engineers and support technical knowledge sharing across the team*REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS** Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field* 5+ years of professional software development experience using C#, Java, Python, C++, or similar languages* 5+ years of experience working within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements, design, development, testing, and sustainment* Experience integrating hardware or external systems such as cameras, radars, sensors, or effectors* Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols including TCP/IP, ports, and firewalls* Experience working with APIs and data formats such as REST, JSON, Protobuf, or similar technologies* Experience working in Agile development environments (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.)* Experience using version control systems such as Git or SVN* Experience with Linux environments (Ubuntu or similar distributions)* Experience working with Docker containers or containerized applications* Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills* Ability to read, interpret, and produce technical documentation including ICDs, requirements, design documents, and test procedures* Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical information effectively*PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS** Experience with Command & Control (C2) systems or defense-related platforms* Familiarity with sensor fusion concepts and distributed systems* Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or similar environments* Experience with Kubernetes (K8s) or orchestration technologies* Experience with Blazor, .NET 6+, Visual Studio, or VS Code* Experience with Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)* Experience developing software for zero-trust or mission-critical environments* Cybersecurity awareness and secure software development practices* Experience mentoring junior software engineers* Full-stack web development experience*TRAVEL*Occasional travel may be required in support of customer demonstrations, integration efforts, and field testing activities. Travel is not expected to exceed 10%.*WORK ENVIRONMENT*This position operates primarily in a professional office and engineering environment and may occasionally require work in laboratory or manufacturing areas.
