Trident Consulting is seeking a " Senior Product Discovery Manager " for one of our clients in " Rosemead, CA " A global leader in business and technology services.Position: Senior Product Discovery ManagerLocation: Rosemead, CA 91770 (Hybrid (Onsite Tuesday & Wednesday))Pay Rate: $62/hr on W2Duration: 2,088 Total HoursJob SummaryThe Product Manager for Research & Discovery is responsible for transforming ambiguous business needs into clear, validated, and estimate-ready problem definitions. This role leads discovery initiatives, maps cross-channel customer journeys, identifies business and operational constraints, and develops comprehensive “Discovery Packets” that support IT estimation, capital planning, and leadership investment decisions.This is a hands-on research and discovery role focused on strategic problem framing and validation. It is not a delivery execution role and does not involve people management responsibilities.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Discovery & Problem FramingConvert unclear or undefined business challenges into structured opportunities with customer, business, and regulatory considerations.Develop “shovel-ready” Discovery Packets to support IT estimations, strategic prioritization, and capital request processes.Collaborate with Senior Product Managers to create ROI models when required.Translate scattered backlog items into meaningful strategic themes and initiatives.Research & Validation LeadershipConduct customer research activities including:User interviewsUsability testingConcept validationPrototype feedback sessionsUtilize call center insights, QM analytics, and operational data to validate root causes and customer pain points.Partner with Senior Product Managers to identify regulatory constraints impacting solution feasibility.Create:Service blueprintsJourney mapsBusiness rule definitionsLow-fidelity prototypesStakeholder & Scope ManagementCollaborate with Domain Product Managers to understand end-to-end customer journey impacts and operational constraints.Define MVP boundaries and ensure IT estimates are aligned with validated and realistic scope definitions.Ensure all discovery artifacts are fully aligned before transitioning initiatives into estimation or execution phases.Required Qualifications5+ years of experience in:Product DiscoveryUX ResearchProduct StrategyService DesignStrong expertise in:Service blueprintingJourney mappingEarly-stage prototypingAbility to translate user needs and operational insights into measurable business value.Excellent synthesis, facilitation, and problem-framing capabilities.Preferred QualificationsExperience working in large-scale, complex, and regulated enterprise environments.Familiarity with cross-functional stakeholder alignment and strategic product planning.Education & ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Business, Technical, or related discipline preferred.Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience will be considered.Overall experience range: 7–10 years preferred.About Trident ConsultingTrident Consulting is an award-winning staffing and consulting firm headquartered in San Ramon, CA.
