As an SLP, you will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality speech therapy services to our residents. You will assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders, as well as develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote optimal communication and cognitive functioning.Responsibilities:Assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders in individuals with a variety of diagnoses, including neurological, developmental, and cognitive disordersDevelop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote optimal communication and cognitive functioningProvide speech therapy services to residents in a skilled nursing setting, including but not limited to individual and group therapy sessions, as well as caregiver training and educationCollaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans that address the physical, emotional, and social needs of our residentsConduct regular assessments and evaluations to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as neededMaintain accurate and thorough documentation of all assessments, interventions, and progress notesParticipate in staff meetings and continuing education programs to stay current with best practices and industry developmentsRequirements:Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (MA, MS, or equivalent)Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP)Current, unencumbered NYS SLP license (or Clinical Fellow with appropriate supervision)Geriatric experience preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong documentation and computer skillsCompetitive Pay – Up to $60/hourComprehensive BenefitsGenerous PTOHolidays OffPaid Birthday OffSupportive, Collaborative Rehab TeamMeaningful Work Every DayAt Morningstar, we believe in caring for our residents — and caring for our team.
