Focus will be on COMSEC account management, and cryptologic duties to include operation and maintenance of encryption devices.\r\nAs a COMSEC Network Designer, you will be responsible for executing the communications security program, ensuring the protection of sensitive information transmitted network-connected and point-to-point communications systems.\r\nThe ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and safeguarding communications systems, including key management and cryptographic security measures, and be proficient in resolving complex COMSEC issues. This individual will play a critical role in maintaining the security of classified communications for the organization and ensuring compliance with national and international security standards.\r\nResponsibilities\r\nManage and maintain COMSEC equipment, including the distribution, safeguarding, and accounting of keying material and cryptographic devices.\r\nEnsure the proper operation of cryptographic devices and communication systems in line with established policies and procedures.\r\nFocus will be on COMSEC Account Management, Custodian Duties and Encryption device configuration and maintenance.\r\nCollaborate with other cybersecurity teams to ensure integration of COMSEC measures into broader IT and security strategies.\r\nMaintain current inventory of all Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCI) material.\r\nCoordinate system maintenance, monitoring and installation of COMSEC equipment across multiple WAN/LAN environments.\r\nAssist with development and execution of test plans and supporting documentation of all communications security configuration upgrades, additions or revisions for customer approval before implementation.\r\nTroubleshoot and resolve COMSEC-related incidents and issues in a timely manner.\r\nMonitor health and performance of the communications security services including hardware and management software.\r\nEvaluate and recommend changes and/or technology upgrades to address performance, standardization and industry best practices.\r\nMaintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging threats and new technologies within the COMSEC domain.\r\nQualifications\r\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field\r\n5+ years of related work experience\r\nDOD 8570 IAT2 level certification (Security +)\r\nSecurity Clearance: active TS/SCI, eligibility to take and pass a polygraph.\r\nAbility to work independently with little direction and guidance.\r\nIn-depth knowledge of COMSEC principles, standards, and practices.\r\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.\r\nExperience with the following encryption devices\r\nGeneral Dynamics family: KG175D, KG175F, KG175G and KG175X\r\nL-3 Family: KG245A and KG245X\r\nViasat Family: KG250, KG250X, KG255X and KG142\r\nLink Encryptors: KIV-7M\r\nDesired\r\nExperience with COMSEC tools and software such as KMI (Key Management Infrastructure), COMSEC equipment management platforms, or similar systems.\r\nAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment\r\nPay Range\r\nUSD $105,100–$231,100\r\nEqual Opportunity Employer.
