What is this role?
As a Safety Coordinator at Cirkul, you will be an essential part of maturing and maintaining the organization's workplace safety program to ensure a safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment. You'll play a key role in maintaining regulatory compliance, assisting to minimize the risk of job-related accidents, and driving a positive safety culture across the organization.
What does an average day look like?
Driving Results: Demonstrate professionalism in the delivery of workplace safety policies and procedures.
Taking Ownership: Enforce safety-related policies and procedures across all facilities and ensure compliance and record-keeping in accordance with industry standards.
Making Decisions: Utilize critical thinking to mitigate potential operational safety risks.
Cultivating Relationships: Collaborate with management and leadership with a focus on safety and company culture.
Instilling Trust: Demonstrate knowledge of OSHA, state, and federal workplace safety regulations.
Customer Focus: Utilizing risk-based decision making to maintain compliance while also supporting and facilitating operational efficiencies and customer needs.
What background should you have?
4+ years of experience in a safety-related field, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated experience and ability to develop and document procedures, processes, systems, reports, and checklists to support workplace safety programs.
Possess or ability to obtain an OSHA 30-hour General Industry Certification.
Flexibility to work non-traditional schedules including holidays, nights, and weekends, should it be necessary to properly manage a crisis or emergency event.
Ability to stand on your feet for up to 12 hours a day and be able to walk, push, pull, squat, bend and reach during shifts.
Proficient in use of computers and various computer programs (Microsoft office, word, excel).
