We take pride in creating a connected experience for students both inside and outside the classroom.Position OverviewThe Dean of Students / Activities Director plays a key role in shaping student experience by supporting a positive school environment and leading all aspects of the district's activities and athletics programs.This individual will work closely with the building principal to support student behavior and school operations while maintaining primary responsibility for the coordination, supervision, and growth of activities and athletics.Key ResponsibilitiesActivities and Athletics LeadershipOversee all middle and high school activities and athletic programsHire, supervise, and evaluate coaches and advisorsEnsure compliance with MSHSL rules and district expectationsDevelop schedules, manage budgets, and coordinate eventsMaintain a strong presence at school events and activitiesPromote broad student participation and inclusive opportunitiesStudent Support and School CultureAssist the building principal in supporting student behavior and school expectationsHelp foster a positive, respectful, and engaging school climateBuild strong relationships with students, families, and staffSupport supervision and day-to-day school operationsQualificationsRequiredBachelor's degreeMN Teaching LicenseDemonstrated leadership experience in education, athletics, or youth programmingStrong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skillsAdministrative licensure (or enrolled in a program)PreferredPrevious experience as a varsity head coachExperience coordinating or leading school activities or programsMinnesota administrative license (or ability to obtain)Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate is:Highly relational and visible with students and staffOrganized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentPassionate about student engagement and school cultureA strong communicator who builds trust with coaches, families, and the communityInterested in growing into broader school leadership over timeCompensationCompensation and final contract structure will be determined based on qualifications, licensure, and experience.
